Posted 18 October 2011

Max Dalgleish, a Year 9 student at Wesley College’s Glen Waverley campus, recently represented the College at the Victorian Schools’ Cycling Cup, held in Canberra, where he won the BMX category. This win means that the 15 year old Ashburton resident is now ranked sixth in Australia in the BMX category. Max has been riding since he was seven years old and aware of his son’s keen interest in BMX cycling, his father entered him into a local race when Max was seven years old, which began his competitive cycling career.
He trains six days a week, when in full training, and enjoys the great feeling when he succeeds in competitions and all the hard work has paid off.
Max currently belongs to the Park Orchards BMX Club and is also part of the Victorian State Team, which has given him opportunities to travel and compete all around Australia and New Zealand.
