Domestic Fees

Application Fee

A $200 fee is payable with the application form. This fee is neither refundable nor transferable. Old Collegian's are not required to pay this application fee.

Confirmation Fee

  • A Confirmation Fee of $1,200 is payable to confirm enrolment. This fee is neither refundable nor transferable
  • A Tuition Contribution Fee* of $2,800 is payable to ensure the position is reserved at the nominated year level. This payment is deducted from the first account after the student has commenced and is most commonly deducted from the April account. This fee is not refundable or able to be deferred to a future year level

Annual Fee

  • Tuition Fees

  • Consolidated Charge

This charge covers extras such as some excursions, Library resources, the College diary and yearbook, some textbooks in early years and some stationery. It also covers materials for the laboratory curriculum, study centre and careers centre.

This charge also covers camps held in Years 4 - 10, with the exception of the Clunes program (see below) which is billed separately.

  • Learning Technology Fee

A Learning Technology Fee of $1,100 is payable for students in Year 5 and $1,400 for students in Years 6 - 12.

  • Year 9 Clunes Fee

The total cost for the Year 9 Clunes program is $3,500 for the eight-week term that the student is at Clunes. This cost is in addition to the Tuition Fees and Consolidated Charge and will be billed prior to the student attending Clunes.

Notice of Withdrawal and Tentative Notice of Withdrawal

  • One term's notice in writing to the Head of Campus is required advising the withdrawal of a student from the College, otherwise a charge equivalent to one term's fees will apply
  • For the penalty to be waived, tentative notice in writing to Admissions, at least one term in advance of the anticipated date of withdrawal from the College, is required. Tentative notice can either be confirmed or withdrawn once your decision is made

School Fees (payment methods listed below)

School fees are made up of three compulsory components - Tuition Fees, the Learning Technology Fee and the Consolidated Charge.

  • Tuition Fees and the Learning Technology Fee are payable in advance, billed on 1 October 2009 for Semester 1, 2010, and 1 April 2010 for Semester 2, 2010
  • The Consolidated Charge is billed during the year of tuition on 1 April 2010 for Semester 1, 2010 and 1 October 2010 for Semester 2, 2010. Year 12 students will be billed their annual Consolidated Charge in full on 1 April 2010 together with the final Tuition Fee
  • No GST is applicable with Tuition Fees or the Learning Technology Fee. The Consolidated Charge, however, includes some services to which GST is applicable.

All school fees and other charges are payable within 30 days of receipt of the account. The Chief Financial Officer is authorised by the Wesley College Council to take whatever steps are deemed necessary, to recover overdue accounts.

Discounts

  • Family Discounts

Where there are 3 or more children from the one family currently attending the College, the following discounts will apply to Tuition Fees only:

Third child - 7.5% of Tuition Fees

Fourth and each additional child - 10.0% of Tuition Fees.

If you are eligible for the discount it is automatically applied to your account.

The family discount does not apply to the Consolidated Charge, Learning Technology Fee or any other fees and charges that are billed to your account.

Families who have been granted other forms of fees assistance may not be entitled to family discounts.

  • Early Payment Discount

A discount of 2.5% is available if the total annual fees are paid in advance eg 2010 by 31 October 2009.

The discount applies to the Tuition Fees and Consolidated Charge only.

Leave of Absence

A holding fee of 25% of the applicable Tuition Fee for the year level may be required if students take leave of absence from their studies at Wesley College. The amount charged is calculated according to the time on leave. It is applicable for leave covering a minimum of one term.

Payment Methods

Fees and charges may be made by cheque, credit card (surcharge fees apply), BPAY or through School Plan.

  • Cheque Payment

  • Cheques should be made payable to Wesley College and mailed to:

    Telephone payments from cheque or saving accounts may only be made using the BPAY facility.

     

    Due to the number of methods being offered to pay the account, we request that you do not bring cash into the College to pay the account.



  • Credit Card

  • You may only use MasterCard, Visa or AMEX to pay the account. If you choose to pay by credit card, the account is payable in full.

    We request that you use the BPAY facility to pay by credit card.

    Telephone payments using credit cards may only be made using the BPAY facility. Credit card payments by telephone directly to the College cannot be accepted.

    For payments using MasterCard, Visa or AMEX, the surcharge will be 0.825% of amounts paid; and you allow Wesley College to include the surcharge in the amount processed. Details of the surcharge amount and its payment will appear on your next statement.

  • How to make a payment using BPAY


    1. If you are not already a BPAY customer, register with your participating bank to become a BPAY customer.


    2. Ring your bank on a touch phone and follow the prompts. Enter our BPAY
    Biller Code 3426 and your Wesley College account number, which appears on the front of your account.


    3. Nominate the account or credit card you wish the funds to be drawn from and the amount to be paid.


    4. Take note of the payment reference number. This is your receipt. You have now paid your account.


    5. For payments using MasterCard or Visa via BPAY, the surcharge will be 0.715% of amounts paid; the surcharge amount will be calculated and included on your billing statement for future payment.


    Monthly Instalment Plan-School Plan

    • School Plan pays your children's tuition fees directly to Wesley College on a semester basis, giving parents the convenience of spreading their commitment into twelve, easy-to-manage monthly instalments
    • School Plan will liaise with Wesley to make all the necessary arrangements to implement the service
    • Instalments are automatically deducted from your nominated bank account by direct debit on the first working day of each month
    • Membership is for a 12 month period commencing in October and concluding in September the following year, with no penalties for early termination. Applications close on 31 October each year

    What Are The Costs Involved?

    The service fee applicable is based on the value of the fees to be covered by School Plan and your choice between the basic School Plan service, or the additional benefits provided by School Plan Plus.

    School Plan Plus - Additional Benefits

    • If the major income provider in your family is involved in an accident that causes death or permanent disability, School Plan will pay your child's agreed fees for the remainder of the school year
    • The monthly direct debit can be drawn from your Mastercard, Visa or AMEX cards
    • Free membership to the "Career Kaleidoscope" website that assists children with career choices

    You can easily calculate what your monthly instalments will be under the School Plan service by working through the following example:
