About Community College

Wesley College is very aware of the importance of community connections, involving different levels and types of relationships. At each campus, we want to connect with our local neighbourhood community and, as a College, with the wider Melbourne community. We also recognise that Wesley has an important role as a national and international educational institution and we want to connect with those wider communities.

One way in which Wesley is able to make these connections is through the Community College. The Community College at Wesley has been part of College life since 1998 and it offers a wide variety of programs aimed at current Wesley students and families and members of the wider community. It operates throughout the College and offers activities with an educational, recreational or vocational focus in four major areas

• Outside hours school care, including before and after school care and holiday programs
• After school programs for children
• Evening and weekend activities for adults and families
• Facilities hire and also management of the College’s Recreation and Fitness programs. Through these programs, we encourage the wider community to access the facilities when school has finished for the day
