This desire to connect with the wider community can be traced back to LA Adamson’s headmastership of Wesley College (1902-1932). He participated widely in activities outside the school and recognised the importance of these community connections to the life of the College.

In the College’s Strategic Review 2004-2016, ongoing engagement with the broader local, national or international community is identified as a key element in our planning and a very important part of College life. The Community College is one way in which Wesley can engage with parents and the broader community and:

  • Offers programs that support the concept of lifelong learning
  • Operates College-wide and offers programs with an educational, recreational or vocational focus
  • Broadens the Wesley community considerably beyond current students and their families
