Eve McDonald-Madden wins L'Oreal Fellowship for Women in Science
Posted 25 August 2011
Eve McDonald-Madden (OW1995) was one of three Australians awarded the annual L’Oreal Fellowship, a $20,000 prize awarded to early career female scientists. Eve is from the University of Queensland and the CSIRO and won her award for her work devising mathematical models that enable smarter animal conservation decisions to be made.
In an article in The Age (24 August 2011), Eve says conservation “basically boils down to numbers – being quantitative – and being able to use what data you have to come up with good decisions.”
Wesley is very proud of Eve’s outstanding achievement, and wishes her all the best in her scientific career.
