Canberra Dinner

OWCA Wesley College Canberra dinner 

The Co-Presidents of the OWCA, Belinda Danks-Woodley (OW2004) and Jack Ayerbe (OW1963), invite you to join Dr Helen Drennen AM, Principal of Wesley College, for a dinner at the Australian War Memorial. Partners and friends are most welcome. 

This special Dinner recognises the 100th anniversary since the remarkable and selfless actions of Captain Robert Grieve VC (OW1904) at the Battle of Messines, France for which he received the Victoria Cross. 

The occasion is also being marked by Robert Grieve’s Victoria Cross being displayed for the first time at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. 

Guests are encouraged to take part in a range of activities at the Australian War Memorial before the dinner. 

 3.00pm Talk by Philip Powell (OW1973), Vice President, Wesley College Council, author and historian (55 minutes) 

 4.00pm Catafalque party mount vigil at the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier, Hall of Memory 

 4.30pm Change of Guard 

 4.55pm Last Post Ceremony
